Seasonal cleanups
Three visits most Upstate yards need.
Spring cleanup
- Grasses and liriope cut back
- Beds weeded and edges re-cut
- Shrubs shaped (not the spring bloomers)
- Fresh pine straw or mulch
- Lawn cleared of winter debris
Fall cleanup
- Leaves off the lawn and out of the beds
- Spent perennials cut back
- Final mow and edge
- Gutter-line brush cleared
- Beds tucked in for winter
Pine straw day
- Old straw fluffed or removed
- Beds weeded first
- Fresh straw, 2–3 inches
- Kept off trunks and siding

Mowing heights
How high to cut an Upstate lawn.
Most lawn problems start with mowing too low. The rule for all of them: never take off more than a third of the blade at once.

| Bermuda | 1–2 in | Needs full sun. Browns out and goes dormant in winter. |
| Zoysia | 1–2 in | Dense and slow to spread. Handles a little more shade than Bermuda. |
| Centipede | 1–1.5 in | A low-feed lawn: too much fertilizer does it harm. |
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. Book a single visit, a seasonal cleanup, or a regular schedule. Change it or stop it whenever you want.
How is maintenance priced?
By the visit, based on the size of the property and what’s on the list. You get the price before the first visit.
Do you haul away the debris?
Yes. Clippings, leaves and brush leave with us unless you’d rather keep them for compost.
Pine straw or mulch?
Pine straw is lighter, cheaper to refresh, and suits azaleas and slopes. Hardwood mulch looks more finished and lasts longer in beds. We’re happy to do either.
