Make it safe.
We look at how the tree failed and what’s still holding it up before anyone climbs or cuts. Hung limbs come down first; loaded wood is cut in an order that releases tension safely.

The first hour
Five things to do before anyone picks up a saw.
- Get everyone clear.Leave rooms under the damage. Keep people, pets and cars out from under anything that’s hanging.
- Treat every wire as live.If a tree touches a power, phone or cable line, stay well back and call the power company or 911.
- Don’t cut wood under tension.Bent limbs and trunks pinned under weight can spring back violently when cut. Leave them to a crew.
- Photograph everything.The tree, the base and roots, and all the damage — before anything is moved.
- Call your insurer, then call us.Ask what they need. We can put removal off the house and yard cleanup on separate lines.

What we do when we get there.
Step 02
Get it off the house.
Trees resting on roofs are cut and lowered in pieces on ropes, or lifted clear with a crane, so nothing drops through what’s left of the roof.
Step 03
Clear, chip and haul.
Driveways and walks first, so you can get in and out. Then the rest: brush chipped, wood cut to length or hauled, debris raked out of the lawn.
Step 04
Grind and restore.
Stumps ground, ruts filled, bare spots seeded. If the storm took a tree you loved, we’ll talk about what to plant in its place.
Before the next one
Most storm damage starts as something you could see.
Dead limbs, cracks, a slow lean, mushrooms at the base. A look before storm season costs far less than a tree on the roof.
